Discovery Miami Beach audio tour is presented with the latest audio technology. The easy-to-use multimedia player provides stereo sound and allows users to adjust the tour to their needs. It is not necessary to take the tour in order; it is easy to replay parts of the tour if so desired; and the audio equipment is extremely lightweight and portable.

The Discovery Miami Beach Tour is currently available in three languages:

English, Spanish and Portugese.

The Discovery Miami Beach tour may be started at any of the 29 locations; however, the audio equipment and tour map need to be rented and/or picked up at the Discovery Miami Beach Store located in the Art Deco Welcome Center, at 1001 Ocean Drive, 305.672.9941.

time

The Discovery Miami Beach Tour may be taken 7 days a week, 365 days per year. Our hours of operation are: 9:30am – 6:00pm, Thursdays open until 7:00pm. If you take the tour from start to finish without interruption it should take approx. 90 minutes (running time is 60 minutes). It is important to know that all equipment must be returned to the Discovery Miami Beach Store at The Art Deco Welcome Center, 1001 Ocean Drive, Miami Beach at the end of the rental timeframe and before the store closes each day.

On a typical sunny Miami Beach day, it is easy to take the tour on foot. Many of the sites are only a few blocks from each other; and it is easy to plan your walking tour to allow for breaks to eat, people watch and shop. Discovery Miami Beach works with local partners to establish a variety of ways to take the Discovery Tour. DecoBike, the hard-to-miss bike-rental system available throughout Miami Beach, is a fun way to take the tour by Bike with an unlimited 4 hour bike rental along with your tour. Another option is to take the tour by Big Bus, the open-air double decker buses which offer a 24 hour hop-on/hop-off ticket along with the Discovery Tour. The self-guided audio tour is also very compatible if you choose to take the tour via taxi or private car.
